Director of Business Development - Europe

Remote • Full-Time • Senior/Experienced

Driven by surging demand for immersive and volumetric content, the Muybridge team is commercialising a novel technology platform across sports broadcast, premium studio production, and live entertainment. This is a defining moment for the broadcast industry as GPU computing, computer vision, and autonomous production reshape content capture, production, and distribution. The role offers the opportunity to build a territory, own a pipeline, and close landmark deals that define a category.

Role overview: The Director of Business Development - Europe will be the primary commercial presence across the region. Operating from a home office, you will represent Muybridge independently across a complex, multi-stakeholder value chain: leagues, clubs, venues, broadcasters, production service companies, studio operators, and live event producers. You will carry an annual revenue quota and be expected to over-deliver on it.

You will manage channel partnerships (service companies, systems integrators, broadcast partners) and also create demand with rights holders, leagues, federations, and executive decision-makers. You will be on-site for key deployments, strengthening partner and client relationships, and supporting the deployment team when needed. This is a senior, self-sufficient role requiring comfort in both boardrooms and broadcast trucks. You will converse with prospects technically, supported remotely by our technical team, and close enterprise-level deals spanning multiple decision-makers and long sales cycles. You report directly to the CCO.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and manage a structured European pipeline, forecast accurately, and report to the CCO regularly.
  • Meet and exceed an annual sales quota through new logos and expansion within existing accounts.
  • Develop account plans for key targets and execute with discipline and creativity.
  • Maintain CRM records of conversations, opportunities, and activity for full pipeline visibility.
  • Prepare, submit, and negotiate commercial proposals and offers from qualification to signed agreement.
  • Steer legal documents and partnership agreements to closure with internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct business and commercial modelling to assess deal economics and pricing.
  • Represent the regional market dynamics, competitor activity, pricing feedback, and needs.
  • Contribute to commercial strategy, proposal development, and partnership structuring with the leadership team.

The role focuses on three priority verticals:

  1. Sports Broadcast – Engage with leagues, federations, venues, rights holders, production partners, and tech partners; represent Muybridge at events.
  2. Studio & Network Production – Target networks, streaming platforms, and production companies to adopt novel capture technology; collaborate with creative and production leadership.
  3. Live Events & Entertainment – Develop pipelines with promoters, venues, and agencies for premium live productions.

What We’re Looking For

  • 8–12 years in business development, enterprise sales, or partnerships in sports media, broadcast tech, studio production, or live entertainment.
  • Proven track record of hitting/exceeding revenue targets in multi-stakeholder sales.
  • Ability to have credible technical conversations without engineering support; understanding of broadcast workflows is advantageous.
  • Existing European network across broadcasters, leagues, platforms, or production companies is a strong advantage.
  • Experience selling novel tech into risk-averse buyers and building conviction around new solutions.
  • Highly self-directed with ability to build pipeline from scratch and manage own schedule.
  • Willingness to travel frequently across Europe and occasionally internationally.
  • Based in Western Europe; UK strongly preferred. Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.

What Makes This Role Exciting

  • Early dedicated commercial role shaping the company’s commercial leadership in Europe.
  • Strategic position with direct collaboration with the CCO and leadership team.
  • Opportunity to close high-profile deals in major broadcasts and live events.
  • Competitive base salary with a 50/50 performance-based structure.
  • Series A completed; ready to scale.
