Trainee program

Anyone taking up a trainee position with us can rest assured that they will not have to make the leap into the world of work alone. Right from the start, you will benefit from a friendly network of trainees that offers every new arrival a great deal of support and advice. Our trainee programs always start on September 1. The application period for trainee positions opens in the summer of the previous year.

Internships

For safety reasons, we can only allow school students aged 18 and over to take up internships in the laboratory. However, all commercial areas and some departments outside the lab are open to young people under the age of 18.

Our offer for students

Internship and student assistants

Expand your theoretical knowledge and gain practical experience at hte. We offer varied internships for a period of three to six months, and employ student assistants in our various departments.

Practical final thesis

Put the theory from your studies into practice! We offer you the opportunity to gain valuable practical experience in various areas of the company and write your thesis with real-world practical reference at hte.

How to apply

The application process is really easy: Have you found a suitable open position? Then simply send us your application. We look forward to receiving your documents.

1. Application Look into the desired position in our open positions area and click on “Apply now”. You can then upload your documents, such as your cover letter, résumé, and references, and enter your contact details. Once everything is complete, you can send off your application with just one click.
2. Initial interview If your profile fits, we will invite you to a first interview with your potential future manager and a member of the HR department. This can take the form of either a face-to-face or online meeting. During the interview, you can present your experience, qualifications, and motivation, as well as learning more about the position.
3. Second meeting with company tour Still a good fit? Then we will invite you to a second interview. This will give you a deeper insight into the position and associated duties. You will also get to know your future team during a tour of the working environment at hte.
4. Contract offer If both sides are satisfied, the application process will come to an end. You will then receive a contract offer from hte. We look forward to welcoming you as part of the hte team and to working together successfully.

In order to gain experience and apply the knowledge you have acquired in practice, internships and theses at hte generally last between three and six months.
