We are looking for a Software Product Assurance Engineer to join our team. You will become part of a growing Product and Quality Assurance group. Within this team, you will own the quality of software components across a range of embedded and high-performance applications in space. WithIn a continuous integration environment, you will contribute to the entire project lifecycle with a focus on the development process, quality goals, failure modes analysis, configuration management, test, and maintenance plans of software applications. Through these activities and by working with the key stakeholders in the development process you will assure the smooth delivery of exciting new software features into space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor every phase of the software development lifecycle to ensure the quality goals are met via the recording of quality metrics
  • Ensure software processes are followed correctly and consistently
  • Manage software configuration to ensure availability and traceability of software products
  • Manage the software processes with a focus on continuous improvement and checking if they are fit for purpose
  • Track software defects and non-conformances, collaborating with all team members to resolve them and ensuring the root causes are addressed for the future
  • Scouting of the latest state-of-the-art tools and processes within the software discipline and driving their adoption within the group
  • Additional duties may be assigned as needed

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience working within a quality assurance environment
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to work with and analyze large data sets
  • Experience with any automated testing tools, test processes and test-driven development
  • Knowledge of typical software development methodology and release versioning processes
  • Knowledge of applicable standards on software development and validation (such as ECSS or DO-178)
  • Familiarity with the Git versioning system or any similar DVCS
  • Capability of working autonomously; resilience and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work hard in a team setting to meet tight schedules
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively
  • Knowledge of embedded application software, real-time operating systems and electronics is a plus
  • Deep knowledge of AI tools

Education

Bachelor or higher engineering degree in electronic engineering, computer science or automation

Language/IT

Full professional proficiency of English is mandatory. MS Office Proficient
