Role
The role is about growing our legal team. We are hiring a Legal Advisor with 3 to 5 years post-qualification experience. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in commercial law, exposure to various business agreements, and the ability to multitask with exceptional time management to meet deadlines.
Location & Reporting
Location: Hybrid, Cyprus
Reporting to: Head of Legal
What you will do
- Provide ongoing legal support to our Cyprus and overseas offices.
- Draft, review, and/or negotiate payments services-related agreements including merchant acquirer agreements, payment services partnerships with third parties, and PSP agreements.
- General experience in commercial contracts (partnership/vendor/software agreements, merchant/referral/reseller agreements).
- Advise on development of policies, procedures, and controls; advise on employment law matters.
- Provide legal support for the Company’s cross-border framework (Europe, UK, and elsewhere).
- Take responsibility for special projects while handling day-to-day matters.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments and locations on various projects.
What we need
- Strong academic record with 4–6 years post-qualification experience in a relatable industry or fintech practice.
- Experience in common law systems is advantageous.
- Experience in commercial/technology contracts, e-commerce/payments, and data privacy is advantageous.
- Experience with Card Schemes and fintech products is advantageous.
- Financial services regulatory experience is advantageous.
- Ability to multitask and work under minimal supervision; good time management.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
