Senior/Staff Fullstack Engineer, Backend Leaning

Role

You will work end-to-end, contributing to our client application written in React and our monolithic backend written in Python, and managing the safe release of your features to our customer base. You will have sole ownership of projects that span months, requiring you to break problems into deliverable steps and validate iteratively. You will collaborate with the product manager responsible for your project, shaping direction and focusing on commercial problems. You will leverage our data pipeline and frameworks to understand impact on commercial objectives and adapt as needed. You will consider long-term team direction to ensure we stay ahead of challenges 6-12 months out.

What we're looking for

• At least seven (7) years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in senior/lead roles.
• Experience in a high-performing, scalable engineering team.
• Full-stack capability with strong backend focus; FE experience optional but helpful.
• Experience building an enterprise-grade SaaS product (AI-powered video generation, billing systems, experimentation platforms, video delivery, online editors, real-time collaboration, etc.).
• Strong alignment with commercial success and product outcomes.
• Previous leadership experience with smaller teams is a plus.

Other

Salary starts at EUR/GBP/CHF 130,000 base + RSUs. This is full-time employment; contractors are not accepted. Location preferences include UK, Germany, Switzerland, Ireland, or remote in Europe subject to compliance and right to work checks. 25 days of leave plus local holidays.
