To further expand our team, we are looking for a Senior Field Solutions Engineer to join our Austin-based team. Your role will be central to ensuring successful implementation and ongoing performance of our robotic solutions at customer sites across the United States. You will play a critical part in scaling our solutions and providing technical leadership and support.
Responsibilities
- Development and Testing: Take ownership of robotic solution concepts from detailed design through development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support within our Austin facility and at customer locations.
- Customer Deployment and Integration: Lead the technical deployment and commissioning of RobCo's robotic automation systems at customer sites, ensuring seamless integration with existing production environments. Coordinate cross-functional teams to keep deployments on schedule.
- Project Leadership: Plan, coordinate, and document customer projects from scoping to commissioning. Manage project planning, milestones, risks, and execution.
- Operational Scalability: Design and improve scalable operational processes, tools, and workflows for multiple deployments.
- Customer-Centric Approach: Translate customer needs into effective automation solutions.
- Technical Support and Training: Provide on-site support and training, troubleshoot, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Documentation: Create detailed technical documentation and user manuals.
- Innovation and Feedback: Collaborate with hardware and software teams to improve technology.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, Robotics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience deploying large autonomous systems
- Ability to lead complex projects end-to-end with minimal oversight
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and accountability in fast-paced deployments
- Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills
- Structured communicator with strong documentation skills
- Willingness to travel regularly within the United States
- Fluent in English; German or Spanish a plus
