(Senior) Field Solutions Engineer (m/f/d)

Role Overview

We are RobCo, building the category of Autonomous Industrial Robotics. We’re looking for an ambitious (Senior) Field Solutions Engineer (m/f/d) to help establish RobCo as Europe’s leading provider of automation solutions.

Responsibilities

• On-Site Commissioning: Install and commission automation solutions at customer locations across Germany, tackling technical challenges on-site.
• Project Management: Plan technical work packages, document project progress, escalate risks, and interface with Technical Program Managers.
• Customer Orientation: Understand customer requirements and translate them into built, tested, and commissioned automation solutions with Solution Development engineers.
• Customer Support: Set up automation systems on-site, provide training and final acceptance, and assist with commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Documentation: Create system documentation, operating manuals, and test protocols.
• Design Understanding: Interpret detailed 3D designs of complex automation solutions and realize them in reality.
• Technological Innovation: Provide feedback to hardware/software teams to improve robotics technology.
• Development and Testing: Conduct tests and prototype new solutions in the Munich robotics lab.

Requirements

• Technical education/degree related to automation technology (mechanical/electrical engineering, robotics, or equivalent).
• Willingness to travel regularly for commissioning and customer support.
• Experience with commissioning automation solutions or similarly complex products.
• Motivation to deliver value to customers and solve problems pragmatically, following existing standards or creating new guidelines.
• Ability to collaborate with sales and supply chain; structured work style with clear knowledge documentation.
• Good German and English language skills.
